The Northern Ontario Curling Association wishes to congratulate Sudbury's Jamie Smith on being awarded a $5,000 Spirit of Sandra (Schmirler Foundation) Scholarship for the 2019-2020 school year.
The reigning Canada Winter Games and Canadian U18 Curling champion will be attending Laurentian University in the fall and says that... "Being selected as a Spirit of Sandra Scholar means that I have an amazing opportunity to support Sandra's incredible legacy while pursuing my own dreams as both an athlete and a teacher."
