December 12-15 will see six Bantam regional playdowns take place with 36 teams competing. The Bantam playdowns will declare 1 team of each gender from each region to advance to the provincials. The final two teams of each gender will be decided in the Bantam Challenges January 10-12, 2014. The Bantam Provincial (Boys & Girls) will take place at Soo Curlers Association January 30- February 2, 2014. The top three teams of each gender from the provincials will advance to the Ontario Winter Games.
The NOCA Women’s provincial also takes place this weekend at Soo Curlers Association. Five teams will compete for four spots at the Ontario Scotties January 5-12, 2014 also at Soo Curlers Association. This is the last year that teams from NOCA will compete with teams from the OCA to declare Team Ontario for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Starting in 2015 Northern Ontario will have the opportunity to participate in the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. The NOCA team will have to earn the right to compete by participating in the pre-event competition.
