Thanks to all of the curling clubs in Northern Ontario that participated in Curling Week in Northern Ontario. Many clubs hosted Learn to Curl evenings, Bring a friend events, open houses, and other fun events to try to get newcomers to try the sport.
During Curling Week a Draw to the Button contest was held. Clubs had people try to draw as close to the button as possible. By the end of the week, 10 people had completely covered the pin with no sweeping allowed. What a major accomplishment!
In order award the 4 prizes available, the winners’ names were entered into a random draw. The winners are:
- Jeremy Pacauld from the McIntyre CC in Timmins (Bearskin Airlines tickets for 2)
- Jennifer Ross-Hollins from the Kenora CC ($150 Goldline Gift Card)
- Christine Mol from the Kakabeka Falls CC ($100 Goldline Gift Card)
- Sharon Rogerson from the Port Arthur Womens Evening Curling Club ($50 Goldline Gift Card)
