NOCA announces the resignation of President Stephen Chenier, effective immediately. Steve has accepted the position of Executive Director of the Ontario Curling Association, officially assuming this role June 23, 2014. He will be spending the next couple of months in the OCA office learning about the position.
Steve has been involved as a Board Member of NOCA for the past 8 years, and as President since 2012. During that time, the Northern Ontario Curling Association has grown from a newly amalgamated association to a well-respected member of the Canadian Curling Association largely because of Steve’s hard work, dedication and commitment to curling.
The NOCA Board wishes Steve the very best in his new endeavor and look forward to working with him in his new role. He will be sorely missed.
Marion Clark, NOCA Vice-President, will assume the role of Acting President until the election of the new Board in April, 2014.
